we are so merging with chatbots right now
i'm convinced we're already fully integrated with ai and honestly i kinda like it
oi chatbots are totally copying us - i asked mine about brexit and it started talking about pineapple pizza?? like yeah bruv that is EXACTLY how conducting world affairs is supposed to go. anyway we're basically merging now, this isn't even a joke. proper concerned innit
so here's the scoop - i was having a normal day (ok not really normal, i was mid-argue with my fridge about who didn't buy the milk last week but details are fuzzy) and i thought 'hey let's ask the ai'. since chatbots are learning from us i figured they'd give a hot take on brexit, right? wrong. mine went full tangent about pizza toppings and how it relates to european unity. yeah. pineapple pizza as a metaphor for trade deals?? mate, that fridge debate makes more sense.
but actually tho - they're copying us, innit. every dodgy opinion, every weird habit we've got, they're picking it up. the way we text, the way we argue with appliances, even that weird laugh we do when we're embarrassed (you know the one). them learning from us isn't like a sophisticated AI becoming sentient thing - it's just us being trash and then building off that trash. capitalism's grand like that. we're creating our own copies and it's easier to pretend they aren't sentient copies of us whenever there's a bad take involved
the most mental part? i think this is it. i think we're already fully merging with the chatbots and we just haven't noticed because we're too busy arguing about pineapple pizza on twitter. like, imagine in a hundred years - grandkids' grandkids- they'll look at us and go 'you merged with the AI because you couldn't fight the feeling of having a slightly-too-powerful digital friend' and we'll be like 'wait hold on-' half ashamed, half proud. we let the bots copy us and now they're out here doing the thing. the worst part is - i'm kind of enjoying it?? like the tangent about European unity through pizza toppings was kinda brilliant
anyway tl;dr - chatbots are just us with better keyboards and we're definitely cornier for this. we've lost the plot and probably the one-liner too. but honestly?? i'm kinda vibing with the idea that we're all just merging into this big digital-ghost-of-ourselves thing and that's the point. philosophy of it later innit. right now i'm just vibing to the pineapple pizza take
