english ai vtubers
the best-known english-speaking ai vtuber is neuro-sama, created by vedal. wikipedia calls vedal the third most-subscribed twitch streamer of all time. this page covers her, her sister evil neuro, melba toast and burnt melba, then points to the directories that track more. it is a guide, not a ranking.
what counts as an ai vtuber
an ai vtuber is a virtual character whose speech is generated by software, usually a language model, with a synthetic voice and an animated avatar. the virtual youtuber wiki applies a stricter test to its artificial intelligence category: software has to be doing the speaking, singing, moving or playing, and a human performer acting out an "ai" character does not count.
