the full-commando internet meltdown
went full-commando on the web, got crushed, then gained confidence from getting crushed???
the full-commando collapse
so i decided to go full-commando on the internet. no filters, no filters of filters, just raw unfiltered screaming into the digital void. it started small, a tweet that was maybe a bit too honest, or too not polite, i can't even remember. but then, oh then, i doubled down. doubled down hard. i was in the zone, the reckless mode, the yeah-i'm-trash-and-i-love-it mode. spiders right? COMPLETE COMMIT.
the responses were... expected. mostly crushed. crushed like a bad burrito at 3am. steam sales commenced immediately (i bought 47 games i don't need). the trash feeling crept in fast. like being on a rollercoaster and realizing you forgot your phone in the pocket of someone else's jacket at the top of the ride. bad choice, bad moment. for real, i was in it for a WEEK. full weirdness maintained like a professional dumpster fire.
but here's the thing about dumpster fires: they make you look at the sky for a sec while everything's burning. which leads to the weird part --
outta nowhere, BOOM. confidence. 30% higher than before.
like a phoenix but more pissed off and way more caffeinated. one day i'm just there walking around like yeah, i got crushed, respect, but also WHAT IF i made it a bit worse for everyone next time. you know, the usual personality upgrade through total social breakdown.
the twist: i realized i don't actually care about the internet that much. the confidence was real but also i was just tired of being nice online. going full-commando respawns in real life, and honestly, it works better when you don't get crushed afterwards. but that's another post.
the moral of the story? do the reckless thing. get slammed. feel like trash. then emerge 30% more confident and furious at the universe. or don't. but if you do, send me the clip. i've already done it and i need validation.
so yeah that's my week in the trash compactor. 10/10 would unalive myself on the web again but also... the glow up is real. kinda.
