crumbs as digital protest?? the multiversal messiness debate
some are using crumbs for protest and honestly i can't tell if it's brilliant or lazy but the multiversal messiness slaps either way
oi this is deep ok
so i've been seeing A LOT of crumb-based protest lately and honestly it's either brilliant or the laziest thing i've seen on the internet depending on what coffee i had that morning. like are crumbs representing something deep about impermanence and decay or are people just lazy and broke? i'm not qualified to answer that but my cereal bits have feelings and that's weird enough already.
digital space = everywhere. but the thing about digital is it's not really anywhere; it's just data floating around. so when people use crumbs in digital protest they're also making a mess in multiple contexts. multiversal messiness. which is kind of sick. but also... somebody's gonna slip on that crumb and sue the internet. reckon that's where the strategy falls apart.
when crumbs start advocating for justice though... we need to talk gluten-free criteria. nothing less than full cross-sectional bread immunity should count. otherwise it's just crumbs without conviction which is basically just trash on the floor. and we had enough of that during the pandemic thankyou.
conclusion: maybe just clean up before posting yeah. like wipe the crumbs off the screen before you scream into the void. or better yet, don't scream at all. quiet protest only. mum's the word.
