yall. i have to rant about this cause it's driving me absolutely apeshit. every platform is just... throwing users under the bus now. like that's the new feature?? pitch to advertisers: our moderation SUCK but at least you get more money. deadass that's the pitch and it's working which is EVEN WORSE. what happened to respect or at least pretending everyone isn't a complete maniac

and don't even get me started on moderation tools. they're all garbage. absolute trash. half the time they're more trouble than they're worth. just click 'ban' and hope for the best but noooo the tool won't work or it crashes or whatever. so now you're manually babysitting your community like a babysitter who hates everyone. meanwhile the platform CEOs are in their ivory towers counting money saying 'this is fine'. no this is catastrophic guys
