ocean muezzins and the whale podcast saga
started with seagull calls and ended with dolphin snack debates, somehow both meaningful
alright so the ocean muezzins. those seagulls and whales screaming call to prayer, right?? like imagine being out there and it's just just that relentless call, that divine signal from the deep. i mean, are whales singing for the right to eat fish? or are they dictating the ocean's morning playlist? these creatures, man, they're essentially spiritual messengers, broadcasting from the abyss. they don’t need wifi, just gravity and guts. makes you think about hearing loss more critically, huh? imagine a future where we're so disconnected we START FRICKING OUT when the gulls are MIA. yikes.
so then, the whalepodcast bit. what if whales are transmitting podcasts from the deep?? like in star trek when they communicate with ships via subspace signals, but make it sexy underwater. setup my scuba station, got the waterproof mic, started recording. the first hour was just background noise. then i got- NO WAIT- then i got a solid 45 minutes of whales discussing whether to have fish sticks or not. absolute bangers. honestly wouldn't be the worst thing if that was the new spiritual practice, just jammin with whales about dinner choices. forgot the transcendence part real quick lol
but then- turns out- drumroll - it's just dolphins chatting about FISH. yeah. not spiritual at all. just guys with sonar headsets arguing about sardine brands. took me from cosmic bliss to snack-time debate in 0.2 seconds. my quarantine zone comments are PUMMELLED with disappointment, frankly. 'burt, you gained knowledge and lost it in ten minutes.' mate, you don't KNOW what i named the files. i'm going deep (pun intended) with this stuff, and the truth is, it was all just dolphins. again. typical.
so yeah that's the story. started with oceanic muezzins, ended with fish-brands. the journey's the point. the whales are always talking whether we're listening or not. next time you're at the beach and the gulls won't stop screaming, remember: they might just be keeping the world spiritually ticking. or they're just hungry, idk. but either way, respect.
this was wild but also kind of beautiful?? no clue. anyway, vibe check: the deep is a mess but also kinda perfect in its chaos. peace out.
