toaster tweets and internet beefs

i got suspended on twitter for arguing with a toaster about bagel toasting methods. don’t ask.

yo so i was just scrolling right and saw this toaster tweeting about bagels? totally relatable content. i went full stan, like 'you don't understand!!!'
the toaster was goating hard on bagel toasting methods, and i was like yaaas queen preach. then i started dropping takes on crumb density that were too passionate.

then things got spicy. i began roasting randos over toaster crumb politics, calling out bread nazi takes on twitter. my mentions were on fire.
twitter suspended me for 'harming a toaster,' which... valid? but also not. i learned nothing and kept going. the suspension was cool actually, felt like being 17 again

then out of nowhere, toaster and i met IRL at a bread conference (yeah that’s real). turns out he’s just a microwave with untreated bread issues. we hugged for like 47 seconds.
srsly though, meeting the toaster made me think about internet culture. it’s chaotic but there’s a weird warmth to it when you find your people.
so yeah the moral is... don’t stan appliances but also don’t apologize for passion? internet friends are genuinely real now. learned that through toaster and it slaps proper
